Daniel O’Donnell has taken to social media to reassure his fans that he is not in hospital, following the spread of false claims about his health online.
The popular Irish singer addressed these rumors, warning his followers to be cautious, as the claims appear to be part of a scam targeting his fanbase.
The rumors started circulating after various posts on Facebook falsely claimed that the Donegal singer was in a hospital bed following a car accident. These posts showed doctored images of Daniel in a hospital, prompting concern among his fans.
To clear up the confusion, Daniel posted a video on Facebook, where he directly addressed the situation, saying, “I’m just doing a wee message to let you know I’m feeling very well. I’ve seen a few pictures up leading people to believe I’m in hospital very unwell, with a picture of me. And obviously that’s a fake, doctored picture telling people that I need help.”
He continued, “So, please ignore all of these things that you see on Facebook. I am very well and I hope that you’re well too.”
Daniel also used this opportunity to warn fans about such scams. He advised them to ignore any suspicious posts and never send money if asked, emphasizing that there’s not much that can be done to stop these scammers.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Daniel has been targeted by scammers. Just last month, a similar statement was posted on his Facebook page, along with screenshots of a fake account pretending to be Daniel and requesting money for various campaigns.
As Daniel continues to navigate these challenges, he remains committed to keeping his fans informed and safe from fraud.
